Deborah has been an instructor at the Metropolitan Institute of Design since 2007, is passionate for all aspects of interior design, as evidenced by 30 years of research and practical experience. Receiving her degree from the Willsey Institute of Interior Design and teaching license from the NY State Association of Career Schools, she also attended the NY Institute of Technology, and began her teaching career with the Continuing Education Program at C.W. Post. Experience in the field has included consulting work in providing interior design services, faux painting, and selling French antiques. Classes include the Practical Aspects of Interior Design (Elements and Principles of Design, Textiles, Lighting, Color Theory, History of Decorative Arts), as well as Advanced Color Course, Historical Styles, Home Staging, and Faux Painting.
Nadia Vee is the owner and founder of GNR Design LTD, a New York-based firm known for having designed spectacular interiors in 5 countries. Ms. Vee received multipe design awards, including one for her work on the Guggenheim Estate, commissioned by the Guggenheim Preserve. Her creative staging of properties for sale is in high demand by real estate agents, as it substantially increases their chances of closing sales. She conducts master classes and workshops attended by clients throughout the New York area. Ms. Vee specializes in the acncient art of Feng Shui. She earned a Masters Degree in the History and Art and Archives from Moscow State University, is a graduate of MID, and was certified as a designer by the Parson School of Design in New York. She is also a member of the International Feng Shui Guild.
KAREN LYNN FERRARO
Karen is expertly trained as a Feng Shui Consultant with a 3-year certification from the BTB Feng Shui Masters Training Program. She also is a Marketing and Business Advisor, Certified Personal Life Coach and a Certified Reiki Master Teacher. She artfully transforms residential and business environments using the principles of Feng Shui. Karen Lynn is the founder of Mastering Marketing Sense the Feng Shui Way. She serves on the International Feng Shui Guild Board of Directors (IFSG). Karen also is the author of monthly marketing tips for the IFSGuild.org and has written many nationally published articles on business, marketing and personal well being.
Debbie Seiferth is a graduate of Long Island University with a BFA in Fine Art. She also has extensive training in decorative painting and has studied with numerous artists throughout the United States. She is a graduate of the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design, Allied ASID, and an active member of the Interior Design Society (IDS). Debbie is President of Fleur de lis Home Design, Inc. a residential design company in Garden City, NY. She is persistent in her quest to keep informed and stay current within the Interior Design Field. She attends numerous trade shows and seminars throughout the year. She is knowledgeable about today's trends and conscious of green and sustainable design. In 2011 she attended design shows with The Interior Design Society in Milan, Italy and Paris, France. Debbie's is fulfilling a life long dream by teaching at The Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design.
Jean Cipriano, ASID, LEED-AP, has been working full-time the past 25 years as the Owner/Operator of Cipriano Consulting, an interior design firm specializing in commercial and residential space planning with integrated and sustainable design. Jean has spearheaded many major corporate design projects both domestically and internationally, including Siemans Global, The World Bank and NY/NJ Port Authority. A graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology, Jean has taught the Part II Interior Design and Space Planning class at The Metropolitan Institute of Design since 2007.
Rick DiFilippi teaches the REVIT Architecture class at The Metropolitan Institute of Design. With over 13 years of teaching experience, he is also a REVIT Instructor for the Certificate Program at New York Institute of Technology and was an adjunct professor at LIU Post. Rick also runs CTD, Inc., a consulting firm in New York City for architects, engineers and interior designers.
Patricia Mendes graduated from The Metropolitan School of Interior Design and is co-owner of Bela Casa Decors, where she helps many New York residents with their home decorating needs. She strives to stay at the forefront of interior design, keeping abreast of new ideas and trends. Through her frequent travels to Portugal and Europe, she is further able to note trends in European architecture and fashion. Patricia is also an allied member of The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
Tammy Robertson graduated from NYIT with a BFA in Interior Design and has completed several Construction Technology courses at SUNY Farmingdale. With over 25 years of work experience in commercial interior design, her expertise includes space planning, furniture and finish selection and specification, project management, facilities and construction management. Licensed by the State of New York, Tammy has been an instructor at the Metropolitan Institute of Design for 15 years. Classes include Practical Aspects of Interior Design Part III (commercial interior design), Kitchen Design, Bath Design, Perspective Drawing and Contract Design. Tammy’s corporate project portfolio includes Cablevision, Symbol Technologies, Long Island MacArthur Airport, AMC Networks, Amtrak, and IBM.
Diane Cullinan attended the accredited New York Institute of Technology where she graduated magna cum laude with a BFA in Interior Design. She received the prestigious Interior Design Award in recognition of her demonstrated knowledge of design throughout her college years. During her time at New York Institute of Technology Diane was able to intern at a highly regarded architectural firm where she honed her design skills and soon after graduation went on to become one of their Senior Interiors Designers. Diane was responsible for overseeing ALL aspects of residential and commercial projects. She worked on projects such as Hewlett Packard, Equinox, and Wyckoff Hospital as well as private residences in Manhattan, Lloyd Harbor and the Hamptons. Her job experience continued with Ethan Allen where she quickly rose to a position in Project Management working with a staff of 20 designers to make sure there projects ran smoothly and the clients were happy. Diane works with her clients to offer them the best possible version of their personal lifestyle. Paying close attention to color, scale and proportion so that the space reflects a well balance design and the clients personality in perfect harmony.
