Upon receiving a diploma in Interior Design from the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design the graduate will be qualified for any of the following entry positions: Freelance Interior Designer Apprentice for Interior Design Firm Window Design and Store Display Sales and Design Consultant in any allied field Wallcovering Showroom Furniture Showroom Department Store Display Lighting Showroom Carpet Showroom Bath and Kitchen Design Drapery and Window Treatment Accessory Shop NOTE: Graduates who become professional designers often specialize in such areas as office planning, restaurant design indoor-outdoor environments, etc., in addition to residential design.
